Bacaan Hari ini: 1 Yohanes 4:18
🗝️ "Di dalam kasih ==> tidak ada ketakutan:
✍️ kasih yang sempurnan==> melenyapkan ketakutan;
👉🏽 sebab ==> ketakutan mengandung hukuman dan
🫵🏽 barangsiapa ==> takut,
✍🏽 ia ==> tidak sempurna di dalam kasih."

👉🏻 Banyak orang mengira kebalikan dari ketakutan ialah ==> iman.
🫵 Itu ==> salah!
✍️ Kebalikannya ialah ==> kasih.
✍️ Kasih ==> bergerak melawan ketakutan.
👉 Ketika ==> kasih datang mengetuk pintu depan hati Anda,
🫵 maka ==> ketakutan keluar dari pintu belakang.
✍️ Anda tidak bisa mengasihi, tapi ==> di saat yang bersamaan Anda punya ketakutan.
🔖 Namun ==> sebaliknya,
👉 ketika Anda mempunyai kasih yang sejati ==> kasih Tuhan
🫵 maka ==> Anda tidak perlu takut.
✏️ Orang tua berlari masuk ke dalam gedung yang terbakar untuk menyelamatkan anak-anak mereka ==> bukan karena iman mereka.
📝 Mereka melakukannya ==> karena kasih mereka.
✍️ Orang tua akan mempertaruhkan nyawa mereka untuk melindungi keluarga mereka karena ==> mereka mengasihi anak-anak mereka.
✅ Apabila kasih adalah alasan
==> dari semua yang Anda lakukan,
☑️ maka ==> rasa takut akan hilang.

🔖 Mungkin ada sesuatu yang harus Anda lakukan ==> yang membuat Anda gelisah.
📝 Saat Anda mulai merasakan
==> rasa takut itu muncul dalam diri Anda,
✏️ berhentilah ==> sejenak.
👉 Kemudian ==> fokuslah pada betapa besarnya kasih Tuhan atas Anda.
🫵 Anda mungkin perlu mengingatkan ==> diri sendiri dengan lantang:
🗯️ "Tuhan,
📍Engkau ==> sangat mengasihiku!
📍Engkau ==> selalu ada untukku.
📍Engkau ==> ingin aku berhasil dalam hal ini.
🗯️ Aku akan melakukannya
==> dengan mengandalkan
🤍 kekuatan dan kasih-Mu."
👉 Tuhan ==> tidak ingin Anda gagal.
🫵 Dia ingin ==> Anda berhasil dalam *lapa pun yang Anda lakukan di dalam Dia,
✍️ dan membantu Anda
==> mencapai tujuan Anda.
👉 Ketika ==> Anda fokus pada kasih-Nya,
✋ Anda ==> tidak akan takut.
🫵 Kasih-Nya yang sempurna
==> melenyapkan semua ketakutan!
🔖 Ketika saya berbicara di depan ribuan orang setiap hari Minggu, ==> saya tidak takut.
⁉️ Mengapa?
‼️ Sebab ==> saya melakukan dua hal:
☝️ Saya ==> fokus pada kasih Tuhan kepada saya,
✌️ dan saya ==> fokus pada kasih saya kepada keluarga gereja saya.
👉 Mereka ==> bukanlah penonton yang *harus saya takuti.
🫵 Mereka adalah keluarga ==> yang harus saya kasihi.
✍️ Kasih saya kepada mereka dan Yesus ==> mengatasi ketakutan apa pun yang mungkin saya rasakan saat saya berkhotbah.
👉🏽 Saat ==> Anda takut,
🫵🏽 Anda ==> fokus sepenuhnya pada diri Anda sendiri.
✍🏻 Itu ==> bukanlah kasih!
👉 Sebaliknya, ==> ketika Anda mengasihi,
🫵 Anda mengalihkan fokus Anda ==> dari diri sendiri kepada apa yang dibutuhkan orang lain.
✅ Semakin ==> Anda mengasihi,
☑️ semakin ==> sedikit ketakutan Anda.
👉 Jadi, jika Anda menjadikan
==> kasih sebagai motivasi atas apa pun yang Anda kerjakan,
🫵 Anda ==> tidak akan menjadi takut untuk melakukannya.
Renungkan hal ini:
- Mengapa lebih mudah untuk fokus pada diri sendiri dibandingkan pada orang lain?
- Apa salah satu ketakutan terbesar Anda dalam memenuhi misi hidup Anda? Apa yang disingkapkan oleh ketakutan Anda tentang motivasi Anda?
- Bisakah Anda mengasihi seseorang jika Anda hanya fokus pada diri Anda sendiri? Mengapa atau mengapa tidak?

When Love Is Your Motivation, There Is No Fear

"Where God's love is, there is no fear, because God's perfect love drives out fear." 1 John 4:18 (NCV)

A lot of people think the opposite of fear is faith. It's not! The opposite of fear is love.
Love moves against fear. When love comes in the front door of your heart, fear goes out the back door. You can't be afraid and loving at the same time—not with real love. When you have real love—God's love—then you don't have to fear.
People don't run into a burning building to rescue children because of faith. They do it because of love. Parents will put their lives at risk to protect their families because they love their children.
If love is the motivation of everything you do, then fear is going to disappear.
"Where God's love is, there is no fear, because God's perfect love drives out fear" (1 John 4:18 NCV).
Maybe something you have to do is making you nervous. When you start feeling fear rise up in you, you need to pause at that moment. Then focus on how much God loves you. You may need to remind yourself out loud: "God, you really love me! You're on my side. You want me to succeed in this. I'm going to do it in your strength and with your love."
God doesn't want you to fail. He wants you to succeed at what you're doing and fulfill your purpose. When you focus on his love, you won't be afraid. Perfect love casts out all fear!
When I speak in front of thousands of people every weekend, I'm not afraid. Why? Because I do two things: I focus on God's love for me, and then I focus on my love for my church family. They are not an audience to be feared. They are a family to be loved. My love for them and for Jesus overcomes any fear I might have when I preach.
When you're fearful, you're focusing totally on yourself. That's not love! When you're loving, you're focused not on yourself but on what other people need.
If love is the motivation of everything you do, then fear is going to disappear.
